MyPhotoSpots was developed for photographers, but will be a valuable resource for anyone who wants to document locations for future reference. The user can select locations on a map and create a PhotoSpot that appears as a red camera icon. Each spot provides the opportunity for a representative thumbnail image of the site and valuable location information to be saved. This information will be useful for photographers who want to capture specifics about the location of a photo or want a way to document a place they want to return to for a future photo. The ability to log "spot" information will also be useful to hikers and sightseers.
This information can be synced with iCloud across iOS devices to be easily accessed from any PhotoSpot app installed. The user can also plan routes for driving or hiking on roads or trails. Current weather information along with sunrise and sunset times is detailed for each spot with a cellular or wifi connection. Location information uses satellite GPS positioning and should be available wherever the sky is visible (only iPads with cellular capability can provide GPS without a wifi connection). Maps are available with wifi or cellular service and can be prepared for use even when connectivity is not available.
Use MyPhotoSpots to save and manage your favorite locations. MyPhotoSpots is compatible with PhotoSpotsNP and will share "spot" information input into either app.
